I'm glad that Saddam went to trial for the crimes he committed against his people, but the law that tried him is, in my belief, fundamentally flawed. Perhaps they should have tried to pin an adultery on him, then he could have got stoned to death.
I believe that God, and God alone, has the right to give and take life and that a prison sentence should have been given in this case. I do believe now that Saddam will be receiving the same judgement that those who escaped it on earth, like Milosevic and Abu Nidal, have received. And like them, will receive a far worse punishment than could be given by any earthly court.
