Jim was (probably) at his most productive in 1984 and 1998. I can't speak for the theatre days, I doubt whether Jim even remembers them all, but he had a lot of work in those two years. 1984, after all, was the aftermath of the world success of "Total Eclipse" and "Making Love", both competing against each other for No. 1 ("Making Love" never quite made it to No. 1, did it? I was also of the impression it was No. 2, which is probably the reason why Jim gave it to Bonnie, in 1995, as a single. Perhaps also the reason he gave her "2/3" to deliberately put a pop. dance version on the charts and give it the No. 1 that song deserves, establishing full recognition of Meat's immortal version. God I love my theories, lol. Then again, don't we all?)

Then again, 1994 seems like a very productive year trying to get back to movies. 1982, 1987-88 and 1991, nothing really happened at all. I think Jim did the Ian Hunter album (only the vocal arrangements of the title track though) in 1982, and I'm sure Air Supply released "Making Love" that year (The Greatest Hits compilation came out in '83. I have no idea why the actual song wasn't on any album; same as Barry's "Read 'Em And Weep")

As for 87-88, 91, we can assume Jim was working on BAT II or ORIGINAL SIN which was occupying his time. Jim also talks a lot about BAT 2100 in the BAT II interviews, particularly in 1994, which is also the date of the first draft according to the U.S. copyright page. According to the trade-mark dispute, and the evidence it shown, this script came into a deal with Miramax for a major motion picture (the purchase of the screenplay was scrubbed out, presumedly because they didn't want prying eyes seeing it)
