Jacob, Tinnitus is a ball-breaker. I woke up with it New Year's Day, 2001. It wasn't too noticeable when there were things going on around me, any kind of masking noise, but when I was alone, and all was silent, or SUPPOSED to be silent.... Man, did it suck. Trying to fall asleep was the worst, borderline maddening. (Come to think, maybe I DID go mad...) I saw a doctor who basically told me "There's nothing we can do. It might go away by itself." But take heart, for all is not lost! In June of 2001, I went up in a hot-air balloon, and as far as I can tell, that is when the ringing stopped. The tinnitus has not returned since. I can't prove the altitude was the cause of my cure, but I believe it was. > Is called tinnitus. > > Playing his music very loud for only 1½ year has now > caused me to pay my price.
