I don\'t think BabyPinkStar needed Jim\'s approval/permission to record Eclispe. Anyone can cover a previously released song, anyway they like in terms of arrangement, as long as they don\'t change the music or lyrics. It\'s when people wanna sample piano/guitar riffs or add a rap in the middle (rap is spelt with a silent c BTW) that permission is then necessary. I think Bonnie Tyler sent Jim an advanced copy to garner a reaction/comment, as opposed to seeking permission? > > I don\\\'t imagine Jim saying \\\"here you go, you can record > Still The Children and Body\\\" and then saying \\\"no, I\\\'m > doing a musical now, I\\\'m going to take them away from you > and you can record something else.\\\" I also don\\\'t think > he would treat Steve like that, as Steve is intensely > loyal and Jim wouldn\\\'t react with that kind of > behaviour. > > I do think they\\\'ll record everything they said, it\\\'s > just a matter of conflicting versions.
