I agree that Desmond Child's writing, arrangements & production, are average at best, on Bat 3.
Shame, because I've loved a lot of Child's work in the past, especially his solo album 'Discipline'.
I also think my two fav songs on Bat 3 (Blind As A Bat & Alive) are more to do with James Michael's talent than Desmond's (I've read/heard he gets an awful lot of co-writing credits, for not a lot of work).
