I think what people need to remember is back in good old 70's the majority of boot legs were recorded with nothing more than a general tape recorder so the sound quality in general is going to be sub par when listened to today. Everyone now days is used to hearing cd quality, improved sound quality in concert halls. Bootlegs today are recorded on digital voice recorders.
you have to appreciate the recordings for what they are
