Cowell has always been such a smug wanker, and now a real cock not to okay Jim's remix!
The Westlife version is bland because they've used Steve Mac (one of the blandest producers around), and more or less copied the original arrangement.
Cowell likes it because he is one of the most blandest persons around (look at his clothes & haircut).
He obviously is an okay business man (although Simon Fuller is the real brains behind Idol), but Cowell knows shit all about good music.
In regards to the remix 'slipping out', lots of albums are nowadays repackaged and 'updated' with additional tracks, a few months after release, always chasing the $$$, and ripping off the loyal fan.
It's a practice I hate, but in this case, it could be an opportunity to put Jim's remix on the album ?
