But, it's true. In the last half of the fourth season the ratings DID slip drastically. Kind of the way the ratings slipped drastically for Firefly on Fox. When Sci-Fi pulled the same shit that FOX did with the show. They pre-empted it, moved it around, put it on 'hiatus' for a very long time, came back and replayed it from the beginning every night on Sci-Fi so that there was about a year or more between the first half of the season and the last six episodes of season four. By the time they had already played those episodes, Sci-Fi had very publically sounded the death knell for the series. But the show HAD a fanbase and WAS Sci-Fi's most watched most popular programming, surviving long past all the other crap shows they produced right alongside of it. What really happened is that Sci-Fi wanted to slash the budget and the Henson Co said they couldn't produce the same quality show with that much less. Sci-Fi then promised it would die and die it did. They replaced it with Stargate SG1 which had syndication and Showtime backing it to build up the audience. If they were still doing Farscape head to head with SG1 - there'd be half the geek community going "Stargate what?" And Atlantis never would have been made.
