I saw this last weekend and think it's just phenomenal. I'm a sucker for good storytelling and this film has that quality. It's kinda "City of Lost Children" meets "Big Fish" meets "Schindler's List" (only because of the non-chalant brutality of war).

I certainly recommend it, though it is certainly not for children. I'm very happy they kept it in Spanish and subtitled it.

What I enjoyed was how all the elements of the fairy tale had ties to the girl's regular, dismal life.
