Best I've heard recently was about a chap who was allegedly caught speeding by a speed camera. The fine was received by his family who properly responded that not only had the car been sold to someone else prior to the offence, but that the reason for the sale was that the chap had died and so couldn't possibly have been driving the car at the time. They sent a copy of the death certificate as proof. This, however, was not enough since the scamera partnership who responded thus - "mitigating circumstances cannot be considered".
