For 3.5 seasons B5 was good. Not the best, but good. But J.Micheal BIGHEAD has NO idea how to resolve a major, great storyline. C'mon, the end of the war to end all wars with two rampaging ultrapowerful alien races is "get the hell out of my galaxy" and the powerful uberaliens do because they have abandonment issues in the first place? GIVE ME A BREAK! The end of the civil war is a suicide and then everyone else in the government suddenly plays all nicey nice with an invading force? GIVE ME A BREAK! And the entire fifth season? 25 episodes of what SHOULD have been a single episode. A complete waste. He only did it to prove that he could do five seasons despite having wrapped up every major storyline. The ones he threw into the fifth season were obviously 'on the fly' fillers. But hey, it was nice to see him break out of the 'steal from Tolkien' mode and enter the 'steal from Claremont' mode. Rabe... | |
