Black gloves is an Argento thing because it are actually his own hands you see, as far as I know they are not a giallo device. As far as I'm aware giallo's are not supernatural (and giallo's include taboo subjects, which are not to be found - as far as I know - in Suspiria). Tenebre is a great movie, too bad it wasn't released under its official title: Sotto Gli Occhi Del Assassino. Other great Argento giallo's (in my opinion) are Profondo Rosso, Opera and Non Ho Sonno. Trauma had a ridiculous ending (reason for the killer) and Stendhall Syndrom was boring (I think, I totally forgot why I disliked it) and Phantom Of The Opera (not a giallo, I think) sucked shit through a straw. I haven't seen the cardplayer. Oh, and Bird With The Crystal Plumage might be okay, but I saw that after some of his best and then it's just so-so. Also haven't seen Four Flies On Grey Velvet. > Agreed on Phenomena, but Suspiria does have some > Giallo-esque elements - the black gloves, the elaborate > kills etc. Granted though, it isn't an out and out > Giallo. > > If you are talking Argento Giallo's though, Tenebre is > still my favourite :-) > > > Nice I will try that. > > I take it you do ofcourse know that both the movies > > mentioned are not giallo's. > > > > > > > > > Hey, it's pretty damn close ! > > > > > > p.s.
