| Personally, I like Bat 3. *waits for the beatings to commence* Now, let me say clearly, I like it AS A MEAT LOAF ALBUM. I'm not particularly wild about the Steinman songs on there- they're good, but could have been much, much, MUCH better had they been done properly and with Jim in full control of the album's flow. However I love Blind As A Bat- I'm a second soprano/alto these days, but I was trained back when I had full range- tenor to first soprano- and if I yank it up an octave, I can sing it, and I LOVE the lyrics/melody. I'm also very partial to Cry Over Me (which my oldest boy sings and the younger two can harmonize nicely with him), What About Love, Alive and If God Could Talk. They are well-constructed and pleasing to -my- tastes. None are Steinman's, as far as I remember, but they're all good songs. On a song by song basis, I got more good music for my money than I do from most albums these days. Was it a Bat Out Of Hell album? Nt without Jim at the helm. Was it a good album, yes.
