And on that note, I might add that I've always disliked Holding out for a Hero. Maybe it's because i like Stark Raving Love so much, but the whole thing sounds like discordant rubbish to me. The Stark Raving Love riff is just plonked holus bolus on top of some unmemorable melody that does nothign for me. And the production! It's always sounded so thin to my ears. I just don't get it.

I wonder how Pitchford felt about getting Stark Raving Love, having looked into Steinman's back catalogue and coming up with a little piece of Jimitation (great word!!). Or maybe he had looked into it enough to realise that a little recycling was always on the cards?
