I totally agree with both of you, I'm not sure what I could contribute musically (although I do think I'm better than average as a songwriter/arranger) I'm learning to play guitar and bass, and I can sing... a bit :D
No reason the Rockman Collective shouldn't have more than one vocalist, I loved that about NBAMN II, so many different voices and styles, all linked by the love of one man and his music! I appreciate that's not what you meant tho... I am also a member of a Manic Street Preachers forum and I know several musicians on that site swapped various instrumental tracks for a tribute to their 'The Holy Bible' album. It's a pretty heavy sort of album, lyrically, not so much musically, but I thoroughly recommend it. But I digress... That approach seemed to work, I guess people would need to be in some sort of agreement as to who would contribute what to what song...etc... and the only issue that worries me is that agreement is not something that happens very often on here, rofl!!
But yes, I love the idea and would love to contribute either guitar, vocals or arrangement.
