There are acapellas and instrumentals out there. But they are sometime VERY hard to find. To this mashup I only had a very poor sound acapella of Linkin Park and no instrumental of Sisters Of Mercy. So I created a semi-instrumental of "This Corrosion" myself. Looping som stuff and I had to edit donw the original 11 min version of the song. It was a bit time-consuming. But it turned out pretty okay I think. To me a mashup can take from about one week to make down to 3-4 hours to make...You have to find the key of the songs you are using. They have to match spot on. I use Auto-Tune so make the pitch right on many of my mashes. You also have to make the bpm fit. I use alot of pro VST plugins to make my mixes sound pro and punchy.
