I did read that "Dead ringer" was intended to be a more intimate album than the other two, in terms of the narrative, characters, or however you want to put that. Again, a lot of great material almost "hidden away" on "Dead ringer". I don't blame Jim for doing singles for the next five years. "Making love out of nothing at all" probably be hidden away too if they'd done it there.
