Rumour has it that he's going to sing it on the cast album, probably as an extra track at the end, something like what was planned with Total Eclipse on the DOTV cast recording.
Anyway, I really doubt that this will help in advertisement. If they want a hit single to accompany the show him doing the song will do no good.
No amount of autotune can help fix those vocals. There would however be a ton of suggestions on how to change the lyrics so they suit the Loaf better (back, knees, joints, throat). For the listener it will be the ears.
