The weird thing is - I can't really think of anything.
People did less standing and clapping for absolutely ages, this time. Though - you know what got the hugest cheer from the audience? "WILL HE OFFER ME HIS MOUTH?" :D The audience went crazy for Hot Summer Night actually starting. I never thought they'd go so wild for a spoken word piece!
Maybe the end was shorter. Bat reprise felt shorter. A few people hung around crying "encore! Encore!". I have a bad sense of time, doubly so when watching this musical.
Also, I filled out a survey when the show was done this time (with shaky shaky writing, haha! Too worked up to hold a pen...) - so maybe it finished another 5-10 mins earlier!
I didn't have time to stop and fill in a survey last week, so I don't know if they changed either, but you guys were talking about what song to cut, but that wasn't a question. It did ask what I liked least. I wrote "romantic blood transfusions".
It did manage to start on time, or much closer. Due to me not having any sense of direction, we spent most of the day (fittingly) being lost. :D I mean, I knew where the opera house was because I was there last week but we went about an hour trying to locate the hotel (which is basically at the end of the road). So we got there at the last moment and the bell for the performance went at 7:28 pm.
Saw other people who went to Bat at breakfast in the hotel. Everyone seemed really positive about the show! You know, normal people who didn't wait decades. :D
