Difference is that in a musical they might only sing a couple of numbers unlike a concert where the lead singer has to carry the full show Also the understudy is available to step in if needed And with a musical you have a base whereas with a tour constant travel can play havoc on a voice and getting rest > I've seen quite a few shows that run around 2 hr 50.
