Another review - Bat Out Of Hell Raises The Roof In Manchester

A rock and roll musical set to the music of Meat Loaf. A unlikely cocktail of nostalgia, teenage rebellion and rip-roaringly fantastic vocals.

The choreography was to die for, and the set design was a tremendous feat in itself. The strings of a giant guitar morphed into a bedroom scene, a dining table converted into a convertible and remote control bats flew out into the audience amongst other landmark set triumphs.

Andrew Polec soared as Strat, and the outfits (and often lack of) were right up my street. Danielle Steers’ vocals as Zahara gave goosebumps and the chemistry between Rob Fowler and Sharon Sexton as Falco and Sloane was electric.

“This is, quite simply, the best show you’re likely to see in Manchester all year” Dianne Bourne, Manchester Evening News – http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/showbiz-news/celebrities-bat-out-hell-premiere-12744241

The musical numbers were pure brilliance; you literally did not know where to look. Fans of Meat Loaf and the theatre will love this trip down memory lane showcasing classic songs such as the eponymous Bat Out Of Hell, I Would Do Anything For Love and It’s All Coming Back To Me Now.
