Wasn't that five or six years ago? I wouldn't hold it against Meat. He had to say that for the show. If he cogently and patiently said, "Mr. Trump, I don't think you should run for president because you will resent the intrusions into your private life; you will be forced to stop running your businesses to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest; you will find the Washington bureaucracy frustrating and an impediment different from the latitude you currently have to run your businesses; and you would go into the office as the most hated president in history on your first day," Trump would have fired him.

Notice that Meat did not campaign for him.
