NJC: Some thoughts

Now that it seems that Jim and Meat won't be working on a "Conclusions & Climaxes" piece for 2007, what will Meat do now?

If "Blind As A Bat" doesn't land as a single, and be the hit Meat Loaf needs, will the album just fail into the background, into all the modern stuff nowadays? Will the record company recoup, or try for a last chance at interest, with a 30th anniversay BOOH? I think that's the one package we can expect.. and I hope it's worth the price, and not just another CD of BAT with some extra bonuses or something. I'd love to hear real raw stuff, cut songs, early demos, the Bette Midler "Heaven Can Wait", you name it... Unpublished photos, the whole kaboodle

But Meat has made it clear this will be his last album and tour, so what happens next? Jim ends up with the big vision he's been working on since 1969, possibly succeeding in the theatre industry (I really hope that turns out well) and Meat just goes back to the movies, I guess. But there's only 3 (at the most) Meat Loaf movies that I can actually name. He needs to do big stuff, big epic blockbusters with Spielberg, Jackson, Lucas, no stuff that no one's gonna see. Didn't he almost do "Braveheart"?

It's not too late. I don't think he'll do another album. It's a shame that after 30 years, however, that everything lead up to TMIL, which wasn't my idea of a finale or a finisher.

How does everyone else feel?
