Not really... Wendy's parents didn't leave her... they are still there... holding her too tightly. Peter never seemed to want his parents... You can make it fit because it is about growing up.... but it doesn't fit. The original Workshop ending had Wendy and Baal becoming Max and Emily in a great twist of Irony... one of Jim's updates had a yound Peter coming back to an old Wendy (as in the story) and Wendy singing It's All Coming Back To Me Now to Peter...
I fear Jim is just using WPOMBHTM and PIGS and CHILDREN because he can't write new material but wants new songs in the show... That said it will probably be great anyway.
