Count Krolock And Sarah In The Library

1st Scene: THE GREAT HALL

Count Krolock has succeeded in winning Sarah's affection but he will refrain from seducing her right away. Tomorrow's ball will be the night of nights.

Creatures Of The Night

2nd Scene: NIGHTMARE

Alfred dreams that he is losing Sarah to the creatures of the night.

3rd Scene: CASTLE BEDROOM

Alfred's nightmare evaporates when Koukol wakes him. He's spurred on by his longing for Sarah, whom he suspects of being in the castle. The Professor, who's well rested, is eager for action. Together they set off in search of the family crypt.

Chagal and Magda

4th Scene: THE CRYPT

While climbing down into the crypt, the Professor gets stuck, leaving Alfred to go on alone. Alfred opens the two sarcophagi to discover Count Krolock and Herbert stretched out inside. The Professor urges Alfred to impale them, but he cannot bring himself to drive in the stakes. Once the Professor and Alfred have left the crypt, Chagal and Magda emerge from a plain wooden coffin. They continue their affair even in death.

5th Scene: CASTLE LIBRARY

The Professor and Alfred have located the library. The Professor is so engrossed in the books that he doesn't notice Alfred's disappearance.
