I had Jim sign the TdV program book for the Stuttgart production. Stuttgart was the first version of the musical I ever saw. On the first day of OTT, I remember purchasing a pack of Silver Sharpies in Lower Manhattan at an Office Depot on the "off" chance that Jim would attend OTT.
It was great to see that at first not everyone was sure about whether or not he was going to show. Once Smeg spotted him in the back, near the restrooms, album covers, CDs, Promotional material all started coming out of pockets and jackets for him to sign. We were all thinking/hoping for the same thing! : )
