This is the anime project for the Jetix TV channel that is part of Disney. They don't publicize their projects in development. I suppose that what "happened" to it is summed up in one word: Disney. If something isn't on the edge of premier, it is in the edge of oblivion, as far as news is concerned. That's part of their charm :)

We'll all have to wait to learn if its still on the table. I'm able to piece a few things together, by going to Terry Jones' website after refreshing my memory of blog entries:

Terry Jones, the Monty Python ("Monty Python and The Holy Grail") Chaucer (14th Century English History/Lore) expert, has fallen seriously ill in December 2006 with cancer which reportedly had good prognosis but cancer being that it is, his website reported he was taking a rest and has not been updated since January. No mention there of his planning to be part of his project tho', 'cause Jim said he still was going to ask him, when came this thing. There was that meeting....but no report as to even if it took place or what transpired. Jim said on the blog he was going to talk to Terry Gilliam about Jones, and then I don't find another blog entry on the outcome. As I recall the relative chronology news of the illness did not come long after. Although he was not a slated part of the production, it must be a gash in the perfection of that strategy, imho. The question arises, who is driving the project, is it Disney, or is it Jim? Stay tuned, next bat blog, next bat channel...or something like that.

Jim's full throttle on his BOOH show might be an indication that this animated series is not in active development at the moment.

I think that the project will happen in due time, because Jim has had this in his mind for quite a long time. He said to me that he thinks that it is a perfect theme setting for today's young people to get a slice of historical perspective. I agree with that in my opinion.
