There is much truth spoken in jest, if he wanted it taken as a joke. Experiences and the fact that there were 21 labels in a field of 5 or 6 majors, rejecting Jim and Meat's album, shows that the probability that such actually occured Needless to say, if such label(s) did actually cough up a disc, it was only to justify its/their existence(s). The music industry is not known for the boy scouts but for the sharks. Then, with cash in hand and a smile on their face, they would head to corporate dissolution. The amount of work some have found worth it to form spike strips on the road to success really astounds someone who would have had no imagination of it before.
