You think this song is recent? You think it's a new pop hit? NO!! It's not a "meat Loaf song", it's not a "tom jones song", it's not "a Spiderbait song", and the very reason it isn't any one of these, is because it's all of these.
It's an old african american folk song fvrom centuries ago that was adapted by LeadBelly over 70 or 80 years ago. It's been around for years and years and decades and more and it's been performed by EVERYONE, including Tom Jones.
And Meat. Et al.
So sure, it's a Tom jones song. And sure, it's a Spiderbait song. but to hear someone singing it, and think "oh my god they're performing that song by Spiderbait!?!" is just plain STOOOOOOOOPID!!!
