That's not the point I was making.
When someone writes a lyric it has a certain structure and rhythm. Jim interpreted the structure and rhythm with his tune. Ray copyrighted "The Confidence Man", Jim did not. Jim not only recycled his tune, which is fair enough on its own, but he recycled a structure and some of the lyrics that were not his. Not only do I not think that is an unfair thing to do, it is still Ray's structure and some of his lyrics that are being used. Therefore I think that contradicts "Words & Music by Jim Steinman" when it's so apparently not.
The only reason it got recorded on "Wuthering Heights" is because Jim wasn't sued because "Pandora's Box" was a complete and utter failure.
