I've heard that Jim *DID* turn up to opening night. Or at least one of the performances. Did he? Because wasn't that the night all the Steinfans went to see it? I know that he was at the previews according to photos I've seen on myspace... I will ask this though: Don't any of you find it ODD that the original directors were going to be Jim Steinman and John Caird? And that Daniel Ezralow was the choreographer? Sue Blane was the costume designer and William Dudley was the set-designer? You can even see evidence of Dudley's ideas on this website (the DOTV flash-intro). How come Jim and John were replaced by John Rando? How come Ezralow was replaced by John Carappa? How did Ann Hould-Ward take over Sue Blane? How did David Gallo take over William Dudley? If Jim, or anyone else, wants to talk about it it's the right time. It's been 5 years since the Minskoff opening and 10 years since the Raimund opening. Also, what was the story w/ Steve Barton? The day before he died, the tabloids announced Crawford's connection with DOTV. If Sonenberg sacked Jim, that would have also hindered on "Batman: The Musical", leading to its cancelation. Maday still wanted to do it until "Lestat" failed ignominiously | |
