completely agree with you there... I also prefer the BFG version, pretty much for the same reasons...
and ever since I heard Meat's take on BFG on that one 'vienna' gig, I have dreaded the day he would record it. Suffices to say he filled all my expectations to the letter?
Still, on BAT II at least Jim was involved and that might have improved things.... but I don't think the song works for Meat
