I know this has nothing to do with this site but I have to mention it anyway. I went to the Bon Jovi gig last night at the O2. The HUGE waste of money that is the Millennium Dome has yet had MORE cash thrown at it and part of it has been turned into an indoor arena. Bon Jovi was the first gig played. Over the last 5 years or so I have spent £000's on seeing artist all over the place. I have seen The rolling stones, U2, Elton John, Sting, George Michael, Madonna, Meat........the list goes on and on. I have also seen Bon Jovi before too. But last night was something else. As soon as John Bon Jovi walked on stage it was time to buckle yourself in because he was taking you with him on this journey if you liked it or not!!! I have never seen a gig like it!!!! The energy that came from that stage was phenomenal!!! They belted out song after song after song. No messing, no pissing around and no 1 was sat in their seat. The entire arena was on their feet for the whole 2 and a bit hours set. I must say this too, JBJ's vocals where bang on and he sounded like he could have gone on all night. BUT the star of the show was SAMBORA - this guy has had some troubled times recently but he came on stage last night like a man with a mission and had something to prove. And he certainly did that. The guy had his guitars screaming for mercy all night and he jus ignored them and screamed the shit out of them even more. I have never seen anyone play guitar better live than what he did last night!!! It was the best gig I have been to - it was a pure moment all night! | |
