| Well, that one IS me! Yes, I AM the Lady Greensleeves who reviewed Sandra Cabot's book. I'm not 'in' animal control per se; when West Branch, a town of about 2000 just outside of Iowa City, recodified it's city ordinances in '98, I got involved in helping to rewrite the animal laws as I was legislative chair for the Bull Terrier Club of America, another place I'm very active in--have been involved in bullies since 1974. Alot of breed specific laws were being shopped around to small towns and we needed a better overall vicious dog model instead. The mayor wound up appointing an ad hoc group to keep tabs of the effectiveness of another round of laws we clubbed together in 2002--then we evolved into the West Branch Animal Control Advisory Commission--we're just an overseeing group. But I was under the impression that someone actually was employed in animal control, which I'm not--this is just a community service I assist with to make sure that WB doesn't do anything too stupid. Also, you mentioned that the 'Iowa Leesa' you spoke of was a part-time resident--I grew up in Iowa City but have lived in WB since 1984, so from that, it wasn't me. But that's what I mean when I say how I'm pretty easy to find, that I'm scattered all over. The WB City Government website has our Commission's meeting minutes as a matter of open record, the Bull Terrier Club has me listed as a rescue contact, I'm occasionally on Metal Sludge's site and I review the odd book here and there. So yup, I definately am around. But the thing is, I'm basically boring with nothing to hide and not an iota the colourful history of Thaya--or probably the other Leesas! But I still don't understand why gallytrotter would have shown at your site so often the 23 June. Can't imagine why anyone would try to impersonate me for such a petty cause.
