You had a reprint of a burble I had made, probably back in 2001, to Victoria Corse's moderated bully e-list. That person was me and I wrote a response to you after you posted that to tell you a bit about that and the damed computer deleted it and I was running late so I just blew it off. Yeah, I'd been active on a couple lists, Bull Terriers Uncensored was a list a good friend of mine, Pricilla Blanchard, started about then--BTCA was having some internal political conflict and true to the Rockman spirit, several of us refused to be muzzeled as the controversy was burning within! The posts from 2 lists went directly to the e-mail account and it became like over 200 messages a day from each--just too much after a while. So I just backed off. So many posts were new bully folks wanting advice and we had the best in the world, literally, there giving advice, which I knew already--if I encountered unique problem, I'd just mail them privately. I was the 'queen of the crazy dogs' as we'd seen so much at our kennel and I could diagnose within a couple hours--and be spot on, so they still contacted me on occassion. There was a list I was on that another breeder I really liked and respected often posted on for a long time. When I lost one of favourite bitches, Haley (she was co-owned by me and Becky Poole--she had Rufus--the bully who won Eukanuba as well as Westmister and our nationals--the most winning coloured BT in history, you may well have seen the lovely fawn boy on TV in the last 2 years) to a brain tumour,I was devastated. Tom had just lost his Gnarley Dude, a boy he doted on. He e-mailed me and told me simply that Haley was in good company and wished me peace. That meant so very much to me at the time. Shortly after I learned that Tom committed suicide. He was a Vietnam vet who'd never fully recovered but gave so very selflessly to our breed and folks involved. It was just too painful to go back to the lists again somehow. Maybe someday, but admittedly, I'm not on the web that much these days--just too busy.
