I was using contraceptives. But I had a cat who'd been abandoned by neighbors and took her in when she approached me. She turned up pregnant and the babies were born in my hand, literally, including one breach. Jim was really excited when I told him I was expecting this bounty, and he said, "You're having kittens! That's great!" But none of them were his.
