Where I come from, chipmunks are smal gerbil looking creatures with squirellesque tails. Squirrels are fat and much much larger. the squirrells where i live are like the rats of boston, very friendly and live in the basements and trash bins.... they also speak the language of trees that i was taught in 1995 by aliens from planet lichen.
