As others have said above, the reissues of BFG & Dead Ringer have always been cheap affairs, as indeed most reissues were back when CD was first overtaking vinyl as the main format. My UK issue of BFG is similarly crap, with a flimsy booklet that doesn't include the lyrics, just adverts for other cheapo reissues from CBS.

It's a shame because nowadays CD reissues are given much more care and attention, as the record companies have begun to realise that fans want more than just another format of an album they already own on vinyl. If BFG and Dead Ringer were reissued properly today, then I could see bonus tracks, sleeve notes and a proper clean-up being performed on both of them, along with BFG being restored to its proper running order. (I can't help wondering if whatever junior compiler was given the job of organising the original CD reissue just didn't know what 'Prologue' and 'Epilogue' meant!).

Sadly, there seems to be little interest in repackaging any of Jim's work that doesn't carry the 'Bat...' moniker these days.
