| Bonds - a little irritating, but I'm just glad its over for 5 years until A-Rod breaks the record. As for steroids - MLB allowed the problem to develop in their backyard and did nothing, or far from enough, to stop it, all the while watching the sport get back to new heights of popularity as Long Ball stats spiked. If MLB didn't stop these guys from playing, there's no way to run around and discount what these juiced up guys have done on the field. The record is the record, and happens to be held by one guy, of many, who almost certainly took performance enhancing drugs. As for Sox-Yanks? Scary for Boston. If we blow this lead, it will be a crushing humiliation. Boston pitching? Dice-K and Beckett = Good. Schill, Wake and Lester = shaky. Our bats have also turned inconsistent. If the Sox can't do better than .500 ball, the post-season will slip right through their fingers. The Angels game last night was hideous from a Sox perspective. They slapped us around in every way.
