I've had the pleasure of meeting Richard O'Brien in person and can tell you for sure that he is not Jim Steinman =p Jim Sharman is only the co-writer and director for the movie adaption, but Susan has never mentioned him. I have quite a little notion that Susan will start her own little Mormon religion one day after sticking her head inside a hat that lets her decode all the people in the world who are really Jim Steinman in disguise.
If you are unfamiliar with Mormons, check out this South Park origin of the religion. What's funny, is that they aren't making that hat shit up.
