As much as I'm looking forward to Burton's Sweeney, as it is one of my favorite shows of all time and I relish the chance to have a good adaptation of it I doubt it will be better than the filmed live show with Hearn and Lansbury. His Nepotism in using his current lay as Lovett seems a poor choice, but I hope I'm proven wrong. And Depp is always amazing so hopefully he will defy the odds. Lovett in a black dress just looks like goth for goth's sake.
As long as he is alive only Polanski should direct a Tanz film. A Celbrity cast would be a mistake. But your worst choice is Bowie as Krolock. Have you seen how old he is? Krolock must be Powerful and Sexy. I can't even think of a celebrity cast that would be any good. If the film is made at least Polanski can't make it in Hollywood which would eliminate their damn meddeling. However if they do make a film I nominate Lying Susan to play the dancing clove of garlic.
