I debated putting Brand New and The Killers on my list as well, especially Brand New.
Everybody here, go pick up or download (the band doesn't mind ;) "The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me" by Brand New. Easily one of the most original and unpredictable albums in recent memory. Layers and layers sound that's rarely heard in todays acts. Can't recommend it enough.
The same thing goes for "Sam's Town" now that I think of it.
My top two albums of 2006.
