Well this is another debate entirely, nothing wrong with realism at all, as long as what's realised is done so for the right reasons and not *just* profit. Obviously these shows have to stay afloat, but wouldn't you want a truly great and ambitious show that succeeds over a mediocre one that was produced with one eye firmly on the wallet? I'm not an anti-capitalist, and although I do see *some* merit in socialist theories. Some of those propaganda posters from the early 20thC are pretty good from a design point of view, but I suspect you know as well as I do, that the very idea of a 'great piece of art' is just a tad at odds with the socialist ethos. All I am saying is that sometimes risks have to be taken for the sake of prodicing good or great art. It is not a science like economics and rather than throw money at expensive advertising campaigns and truly dire but commercially successful, perhaps the media conglomerates and their smaller cousins can pour their tax-dodging funds into something a bit more worthwhile. Also, throwing money doesn't automatically make a project good or great, but if a project we know could be great isn't being made cos someone somewhere is scared it won't be profitable, then that is a shame.

Apologies for the length :s just wanted to clear that up.
