It's a bit like the whole 'who wrote Shakespeare's plays' controversy - who cares? Maybe Francis Bacon DID write them, but do we need to know in order to read them? What's more important is do you enjoy them or not. Anything further than that (was Shakespeare gay, did he cheat on his wife, can we trace his family line to the modern day) is just fan-wank in my opinion.

My interest in Jim as a person extends to is he healthy and is he still writing and will he blog again. Further than that, it's his business and if he's hiding some great secret (which I totally do NOT think he is by the way) I couldn't give a shit unless it's a triple album full of unreleased material.

The Boo Radley is always an easy target in any community, but it saddens me a little to see so many Steinman fans are so bloody 'conservative' (with a small 'c') in their views. I'd always thought Jim's music encourages open-mindedness and extremes of reality/excess, but sometimes I look at the people who are villified on this board and I think maybe not...
