Yes, "performed" to a preformed audio track.
I uploaded this to youtube ages ago. Some sad (and possibly deaf) twonks commented thus when someone pointed out that Meat was miming:

That's a really strong live performance, one of his best!
I guess that for many people, there is a strong need to believe what they want to believe. Reality doesn't get a look-in.
