I don't see how Meat could win on this one.

If he had waxed lyrical about Jim and the influence he's had on his career, then we'd all be on here saying what hypocrite Meat is for pressing ahead with Bat 3 and threatening court action. If he'd gone into all the various reasons why Jim wasn't involved in Bat 3, then we'd all be criticising him for putting across a one-sided view of events and not letting Jim respond.

I think saying nothing, or as little as possible, is the most dignified way to approach this and, for once, Meat deserves a bit of credit for that.

Oh, and as much as Jim was the 'power behind the throne' for Bat..., I don't believe he taught Meat how to SING - and that voice was the 2nd most important part of the original album (after the songs). Sometimes it seems that we forget that in our desire to give Jim credit for absolutely everything...
