| Jim, along with Prince Charming, produced "I Want To Spend My Lifetime Loving You". I think it is good, but overproduced. Too much sound effects and noise. I also think it doesn't have enough of the sound of real instruments. I don't actually care how a recording is made, but just how they sound. That one sounds too synthesized and electronic for me. It's a poor fit for the musical style of James Horner. His work is more subtle and mellow. I think that someday, another producer could make a recording of that song that is even better. The better recording would be simpler and less aggressive-sounding. Bear in mind I am judging it without having seen the movie (I'm not into movies). So I'm not judging how it fits the movie scene, just how it sounds on the Tina Arena CD. | |
