I just checked BMI and ASCAP online. ASCAP has zero songs with that title. BMI has one, and it's written by Dennis Donovan and Rhio Hirsch. Nothing under Steinman for that title.

I'm guessing that's just one of the many unsubstantiated rumors that gets built up among Jim's fans out of nothing or almost nothing.

Maybe he was surprised because he's never heard of it either.

Maybe he thought you were referring to "If It Ain't Broke (Break It)".
