Given the opportunity, I don't think she would do it. I don't think she would fit in well anyways.
And to go from an "emerging artist" to working two or more years in the studio on one album wouldn't be smart.
From what I've gathered she writes many of her own songs, and seems to know some good Producers. Almost every track of hers I have is pretty catchy. The material doesn't vary though, every song is about a break-up.
Not saying she doesn't have a great voice. And I definitely would love to hear her do another track. I really like the IACBTMN performance as well, but agree she doesn't feel the song at all. And that (should be) essential to singing a Steinman song.
Marion Raven may not have the best range, but she has something more important, a voice. I think she has a distinct voice. I can recognize her voice right away. That's worth more than talent these days. With the right song people would remember her voice, but that song may never come.
Maybe Jim should do a song with her. But not in Dream Engine.
