My comments on snips of the interview follow...

I could see "No Matter What" released in the United States with a very deep, bluesy, ethnic sound. It needs a groove with someone snapping their fingers ala Babyface. It also needs multiple vocalists where you can hear their socio-economic background in their voice.

I don't think this is a great song and I certainly don't think it needs to be resurrected for a second coming in the US market, but the Boyzone version just wasn't artful enough to be a Steinman recording.

Note to Jim: Bush isn't running next year. Ron Paul 2008.

Yes, yes, yes!!! :)

Maybe, it won't be selected for the canon anytime soon, but I'd love to hear more about Bonnie's country album. If Mutt Lange and Dianne Warren can find a sanctuary from the trend-based and fickle rock-audience in country music, Jim can, too. Contemporary crossover country is just begging for a little bit of Steinman's excess with their twang. How about 5 entirely new songs each with a bridge that waxes poetic and all with Steinman producing!
